Saint Lucy

Photo: TA, Dec 2009
Session: Saint Lucy
St. Lucy and is observed on December 13. It retains traditional forms of celebration mainly in Scandinavia, parts of the United States and southern Europe. In Scandinavia this was also the date in the Gregorian calendar earlier celebrated by the population that was afraid of Lucifer (the devil himself) which still tod...ay somewhat lives through the tradition of Lucevaka – Stay awake on the night between 12th till 13th and guard oneself against being taken by Lucifer lord of darkness by having an all night party. This is still carried out today mostly by the younger population having great parties. When the light then arrives with the morning you are safe again.

See you soon again, Love peace and respect!!!!

Everyone should at least have a Meatless Monday

Photo: Mattias Nilsson (Madcap piktures), 2008
Clothes: Sewn by me. In imitation leather.

This is my English report for school. I hope my teacher likes it ;-)

Refrain meat on Mondays, that is the message the former front member in the Beatles, Paul McCartney and his daughters is propagating. The project started in 2009 but before that meatless Mondays was 2003 as a public health awareness program in some schools in USA.
As the worlds populations grows and the demand for meat keeps rising we should cut down on our consumption of meat. There are a lot of reasons for doing that besides the obvious negative effect on climate change. The meat-industries impact on global warming is somewhere between 18 – 30% depending on how you measure it, that makes it the biggest single polluter on the planet. So could skipping meat once a week make a difference? Yes, it makes an enormous difference!
First of all the meat-industries impact on the environment and especially on global warming is huge, there has been a lot of debating around the flying industry and the pollution from airtravel. If you consider that the entire flying-industry is responsible for 1% of the greenhouse gases on a global scale and the meat-industry is responsible for up to 30% you can come to a very easy conclusion. If everyone eats vegetarian food just once every month that would do as much for the climate as if you stopped all flights on the planet. Just consider what an impact skipping meat once a week would do.
Secondly, the world population keeps growing and last week we passed the 7 billion people mark, So how does meat-consumption effect the total supply of food in the world and how is it related to a large population of starving people? In one acre you could produce 1 unit of meat protein or 10 units of vegetable-protein. Thus, one person eating meat takes away nine persons food. There is just not enough farmland on the planet to support our meat eating habits if we think that everyone should have the same right to food as we do. A single kg of meat also needs a lot of water, 50.000 liter for just one kilogram compared to 300 liter for the same amount of vegetable-protein. So if we make our Mondays meat free we do not only preserve water, we also give people in poverty a chance to be able to afford food and keep them from starving.
In addition to the other aspects there is other environmental issues that needs to be considered. The deforestation in the Amazon rainforest, the fact that 80% of the produced soy-protein is used for feeding animals, pollution of water resources etc.
However I am aware that there is a difficulty when it comes to lifestyle chooses and that the awareness of what our consumption does to our planet is low. Therefore a small change like eating meat free food just on Mondays is a beginning to tackle the problems. On the other hand something needs to be done if we still want a planet that can sustain life for future generations.
In conclusion it´s clear that we need to change the way we think about what food we eat and take a personal responsibility for the future on the planet. If everyone eats meat free food at least once a week that would be a good start, and the effects on the environment and greenhouse gases would be four times the amount that all airplanes on the planet just by changing what we eat.

Crash boom bang

On my way to school, i got one "lovely" painattack. In class my teacher came to me and he was worried for me (he is so sweet). It wasn't the worst attack i have gotten, but i had a hard time sitting up in class. It was a really powerful thunder and lightning in side the head, like a migraine. That is a huge improvement from those "Horton headaches" attacks that I usually get. So I guess all that chemicals/ med´s are helping. I dont really like them much. I hate taking pills. Maybe because it makes me gain weight :-S and that is no womans dream. but comparing to the pain... I choose the med´s.

Now I will try to eat some rosehip soup with icecream, and rest some more. See you...

Took the train

Photo:Dick Andersson, 2008
Session: Sleepy Hollow
Models: Robin Ahlqvist & Anunnaki
MUA: Linda Hellström

I took the train back home from my mom´s to day. It would had been nice, but I was so tired that I felt sick. All I could think of was getting of the train and in a hot shower.
Now a few hours later... I sit in a chair still tired like hell, but not in a sleepy way. I think it is a great movie night :-)

On the train I surf some on tradera (ebay). I found this pretty corsett with a cute skirt. I fell in love, and bought it...

Costume time

I´m one of those childish people who just LOVE Halloween. I love to try out different outfits and I would love to buy them all. This is the time when it is ok to wear a costume without people think you are weird.
Therefor I Believe I have the greatest job in the world. Being a model is all about wearing several costumes and get in to the character, almost like an actor/actress.
I do lots of photo-series. When I do a session, I want the series to have a story line or a twist.
Next week I will present to you, some new session in the category "horror". I have done some photosessions that will be perfect for next week. I hope you will enjoy them.

...and yes, I do love to wear different costumes...

School time

The fall is here and it will soon become colder and one morning it will be a white world outside. I dont like when it is cold. Specially not when I have to get up in the morning. I´m one of those people who likes to lie in a warm bed.
Some days are unfortunately really early. I have to be at school at eight a clock in the morning.
This semester I´m taking an extra English course. I know i need it :-S and i hope it will be easier for you all to read my blog. I sometimes use the Swedish grammar when i write English. I´m happy that so many of you understand my Swenglish (or haven´t complained to mush)....
At the moment we do a Author report. I have chosen to write about Charlaine Harris.

Charlaine Harris was born 1951 in Tunica, Mississippi, in the south USA. She was up to recently a pastor in her hometown church in southern Arkansas where she lives with her husband, three children and as she herself says: "a House full of rescue dogs."
Charlaine has been writing mystery novels for over thirty years, published for the first time in 1981 with Sweet and Deadly. A secret rage was her next published work in 1984 before a five year long break after the birth of her first child.

In 1990 she got the first book in the Aurora Teagarden series published and it ended containing eight books. The series was a kind of murder mystery novel series starring Aurora Teagarden a professional Liberian in Georgia.
The next novel series was published in 1996 and is a five part series with a darker mystery feel to it. This series is named Lily Bard or the Shakespeare series after the girl Lily Bard in the books or Shakespeare after where it´s set, in Shakespeare, Arkansas.
Her most famous and her most recent work is The Southern Vampire Mysteries series about Sookie Stackhouse, who is a telepathic waitress who lives in Northern Louisiana. In the first book Sookie meets and later falls in love with her neighbor, the vampire Bill Compton. This is the books that the TV-serie True Blood by Alan Ball was based on.

I will also do a book report of her latest book in the "The Southern Vampire Mysteries series". Dead reckoning is the eleventh book in the series and I hope it is just as good as the others.

Perhaps I should do a "Sookie" or a vampire photoshot? What do you think?

Madonna is still a goddess

Regardless if Madonna is nude or not. Shows her body with or without photoshoped photos. Or if she is or not wearing make-up. She is still the most gorgeous woman on earth.

The images that is circulating on the net is taken during a shoot for W magazine three years ago (2008). The photos is showing the then-50-year-old Pop-goddess with no make-up, in a blond wig, black knickers and a transparent, skincoloured bra as she sits on a couch.

Another shot shows her topless reflection in a mirror as she changes into a black dress.

The pictures, which hit the web on Thursday (06Oct11), were snapped as Madonna prepared for a photoshoot.

As a model I can tell you that all models prepare for photoshoots, we do not were make-up before the shoot and we do run around naked during the sets to change clothes. AND WE ARE NOT PHOTOSHOPED IN REAL LIFE.
It is really pissy and not professional by the photographer to leak this out. This sorts of photos are private between the model and the photographer.

Luckily for Madonna she still is a goddess...

When the light goes down in the city...

It´s long time after bedtime, but I sit here in my couch cuddling and having a great time. Even got candles to get the coziness in right mood. Fall can really bring out the nicest times. I´m about to lock at Dark Angel, if you remember it. Jessica Alba as a genetically-enhanced superwoman in James Cameron´s TV-series.

I also would like to draw your attention to this horrible photo. I saw this on facebook and got all revolted of those guy´s. If you see this people; report them to the police. If I had recognized one of these creep´s, i would have locked them inside a small room, where nobody can hear them scream and then tortured them for long time.
